Presently in her final months of the certification process as an Ontological Coach, Marguerite brings a wealth of life experience to the profession. Prior to enrolling in the Academy for Coaching Excellence she distinguished herself as a business woman and social entrepreneur. After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala, she founded a consulting business which provided training in effective communication and organizational development to private and business clients. Later, as President of Edmar Corporation, she piloted a highly successful and profitable industrial real estate business for over 25 years.
She was recognized as Business Person of the Year and as Citizen of the Year for founding numerous civic projects including the Food Bank Network of Somerset County, The PeopleCare Center, and The Somerset County Coalition for Affordable Housing (SCCOAH). The Courier News (Gannett) named her Person of the Decade for her community leadership.
In recent years her civic involvement has broadened with the launches of: Arbor Glen (a Quaker-directed continuing care retirement community); the Crossroads of the American Revolution Association; and Celebrate New Jersey! Her committed advocacy was rewarded with the formation of the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area by the National Park Service in 2006.
Marguerite regularly facilitates a timely symposium on environmental sustainability titled Awakening the Dreamer.
Her formal training includes life-long learning in the fields of personal and organizational development. Highlights include: A three year internship with Mid-Atlantic Training and Consulting (MATC); The Forum; Living in Process with Dr. Anne Wilson Shaef; a three year course of study in Ontological Design with Dr. Fernando Flores; and her present studies in Ontological Coaching with Dr. Maria Nemeth. She holds a BS in Accounting and a Masters in Political Management.
Marguerite is a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). Mother of three successful adult children, she lives and works with her husband of 26 years in Cape May Point, New Jersey.
